Greek yogurt has been quite a popular item these last few years, but is it really good for you? The answer… yes!
While not all yogurt is the same, its up to the consumer to do their due diligence before diving in spoon first. And it all has a lot to do with 3 things: milk sourcing, packaging and ingredient lists. Traditionally Greek yogurt is packaged in ceramic ( nod to Kalypso) and using only the best pasture fed cow, goat or sheep milk. Don’t be fooled by clear glass packaging or lower priced plastic cups. Ultra violet lighting typically found in retail settings, light oxidizes these products breaking down vitamins and minerals, proteins and the live probiotics that we often assume with Greek yogurt.
